The mission of GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI is to bring two people in love together with their destined diamond.

Designer

A wedding represents “a future that begins now.” As the jewellery is meant to be worn for a lifetime, our work is to create pieces that accompany and walk with the wearer throughout their life journey.

By tuning into a refined sense of emotion, from classic styles to more distinctive expressions, Hiroko Shibusawa creates designs loved by a wide range of customers.

We had the opportunity to hear her philosophy firsthand. As GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI’s top designer (Design Director), she leads the brand’s design team.

What does being a designer mean to Shibusawa?

A designer’s job is not to create what they personally want, but to craft what customers hope for. Only then can a ring truly move the heart and become something that accompanies a lifetime.

When people encounter beauty that stirs the heart, they feel emotion—smiles appear, affection becomes genuine, and the world seems to shine more brightly. Life is an accumulation of such beautiful moments, and everything we see and experience through the senses influences each design.

Our role as designers is to give form to intangible emotions and intentions. This requires a humble heart—being sincere in how we observe life and understand what we encounter.

The scenery we see, the emotions we feel, and the beauty we experience, as well as the voices of customers and consultants, all become the source of jewellery design.

What does GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI pursue in its “design”?

For GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI, design is ultimately guided by one question: does this ring truly reflect the customer’s feelings?

Wedding jewellery is deeply personal, and GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI—one of Japan’s most established bridal jewellery specialists—sees design as the pursuit of both tradition and innovation. Classic beauty, refined elegance, and artistic sensibility are essential foundations, but designers must also stay attuned to changing times.

The role of design, therefore, is to faithfully preserve its essence while continuously evolving with the era—bringing each concept to life in its fullest expression so that it becomes a ring worthy of a lifetime.

Through “Saint Glare,” GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI showcases its mastery in craftsmanship and the pursuit of diamond brilliance.

A supreme expression of light— an ultimate solitaire diamond ring.

“St. Glare” is the ultimate solitaire diamond ring, promising exceptional brilliance and elegance for the wearer. It is designed to showcase a high-quality diamond’s clarity and radiance at its fullest.

The platinum setting is finely minimized to reduce light blockage, allowing maximum brilliance to be released. Inspired by sunlight streaming through cathedral windows, the six openings between the prongs let light enter from multiple angles, creating a luminous, almost divine glow.

The gradually tapered band offers a soft, comfortable fit and a refined silhouette on the finger. “St. Glare” enhances the beauty of the hand and movement, embodying a truly one-of-a-kind design—GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI’s vision of the world’s most beautiful diamond ring.

Unchanging and ever-changing. Faithful to the essence,
while staying attuned to the times.

What is the unique sentiment embodied in a wedding ring?

A wedding ring embodies an eternal concept—two people choosing to love and stay together for a lifetime. This bond is deeper than connection alone; it represents a lifelong promise rooted in the idea of “a future that begins now.”

True wedding jewellery is not something replaced due to age or changing trends. It carries a timeless presence—one that can be worn with confidence for 10, 20 years, and even a century without losing its meaning or beauty.

At the same time, while society and values continue to evolve, designers at GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI refine their sensibility to balance “what does not change” with “what should change,” shaping each customer’s vision into reality.

By preserving simple, sincere promises and continuously pursuing lasting beauty, they define the brand’s design quality.

What does diamond buyer Makoto Saito believe defines an expert at GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI?

The true skill of designers lies in breathing artistic life into carefully selected diamonds.

At GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI, the design team gives each ring the soul of an artwork, imbuing it with the meaning of “bond.” Leading the team is Design Director Shibusawa, an active and highly skilled ring designer whose perspective reshapes how diamonds are understood.

Her creations go beyond the idea of a product—they feel alive, revealing a beauty that seems to exist beyond dimensions. While each of us works in different roles, we share the same uncompromising spirit and pursuit of perfection, and we deeply respect her philosophy and conviction.
